SFPS Digital Learning Summer Camp 2026

This session establishes a foundation for AI in K–12 by building a shared language and a "human-first" mindset. Participants will explore the current AI landscape through collaborative mapping, identifying high-value, low-risk use cases that streamline school workflows while prioritizing data privacy and accuracy.

Attendees will move from theory to action by co-creating responsible use norms and a personalized use-case map. By balancing time-saving automation with critical oversight, participants will leave with the practical tools and ethical frameworks necessary to lead intentional AI integration in their classrooms and offices.

Story Driven STEM brings literacy and STEM together by using stories as a starting point for hands-on problem solving. In this session, K–2 teachers will explore how students can identify challenges faced by story characters and design creative solutions through the engineering process. Participants will learn practical strategies for guiding structured creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking through meaningful, story-driven design experiences.
